INTERNSHIP: Executive Asst. to RCNY President Rustam Alikulov, Kazakhstan

Welcome to Rustam Alikulov, Kazakhstan, who has accepted the unpaid RCNY Internship as Executive Assistant to the President. The internship runs from September 9th through October 7th, 2017.

Rustam will be an excellent resource to us in leading the newly chartered Interact Club Tarrytown, working with it’s founder and President Kai Cowin, in creating with her a social media campaign for RCNY, and to assist in the implementation of RCNY business and service projects.

Currently, Rustam serves as the Head of Events & Projects Department, Tourist Information Center Visit Almaty – 2017 (Tourism and Foreign Affairs Department of Almaty City, Kazakhstan). He was also the leader of the Kazakhstani Youth Organization, New York City where he organized events for students and Kazakhstani youth who live in the Eastern and Northern part of the USA (currently numbering 4,000 members.) and during which he assisted in the maintenance of a Facebook page and a social media campaign/outreach. In addition, from Sep 2013 to Dec 2014 he worked as Assistant to the Consul General at the Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, New York City.

As the Lead Educational and Content Designer for PeopleMovers®, I am responsible for the design and content of their e-Learning. As a University Pathway facilitator at EF - Education First, I conceived, designed and developed multiple portfolios of face-to-face, online and blended curricula across a variety of disciplines Courses and expertise are in Global Economics, International Affairs, Academic Writing, Grammar, and business case study seminars. For EF's Russian branch I hold interactive webinars for lawyers, teachers, engineers with a strong practical applicability into real life teaching. At my courses at Marlboro School for Graduate and Professional Studies, I study, analyze and apply pedagogical best practices and supporting educational technologies needed to successfully execute online, f2f and blended learning environments. I believe that collaboration is a 21st Century skill of increasing importance and one that should be used throughout the learning process. At EF's University Preparation Program, I successfully designed, implemented and taught 21st Century courses which focused on educational technology literacy, assessments, activity paths, learning objectives and content for each course. I achieved a 100% paper-free learning environment with excellent student buy-in through online collaborative tools. Also, I advise private clients as a Senior Education Advisor on summer camp, independent US school, and University placement. I am a Fulbright Scholar, experienced facilitator and collaborative team player who is currently completing a Masters in Educational Technology at the Marlboro Graduate School for Professional Studies, in Brattleboro, VT.
